Dave McLaughlin co-wrote the movie "Southie," which won the Jury Prize for Best American Independent Film at the 1998 Seattle Film Festival. His produced stage plays include "God Willing" and "Back To Before," both of which he has directed. He created "Plays Agus Pints," a series of staged readings of Irish-American playwrights. A graduate of Boston College (BA English), McLaughlin lives in Boston with his wife Beth and their son - and a greyhound named Fenway.
In addition to his artistic work, he is Vice President of Back Bay PR firm marlo marketing/communications, and serves as Executive Director of Boston World Partnerships, a non-profit established by Mayor Thomas M. Menino to promote Boston as one of the world's most advantageous business locations. Also, McLaughlin sits on the board of Tell Stories, a nascent non-profit based in Roxbury and dedicated to providing filmmaking skills training to inner city youth.
